Computer Science Graduate Working at the University of Arkansas

About Me

Since a young age, I have always had an interest in being an inventor/engineer. When I enrolled in Southwestern University I was going to be a Physics major and become an Engineer. While working on my courses for the final semester of my freshman year, my advisor mentioned that I should try out a Computer Science course. Ever since that course, I have been hooked on the field. As I progressed through my coursework and worked on personal, academic, and professional projects, I have gained more interest in the field, such as Data Science and Cyber Security.

While completing my coursework at university I could not have made it through without my hobbies to help me keep a balanced lifestyle. These hobbies included gaming, electronic restorations, painting, coding for fun, Robotics club, Computer Science club, etc. Through these hobbies, I gained useful experiences and connections.

Now graduated from University, I am working as a Junior Software Engineer at Mookstr.

A Few Past Projects

Riddle Me This

This is a side project that I was working on in my spare time. I wanted to take the same aspects and functions of ransom-ware and instead of locking information behind a paywall I wanted to have the user complete a series of riddles and questions in order to retrieve access to their files. This was not meant to be used anywhere other than on my machine only targeting a few specific files. The purpose was to learn python by doing something unusual and new with the language.

Contraception Calculator

The Contraception Calculator is an interactive web page that was designed for one of my classes. The webpage is easy to navigate since it is based of a familiar user interface (a calculator) and also provides useful information. it works as a basic calculator for determining the chance of getting pregnant based on the forms of contraception selected. It could be improved in several ways to make it a solid source of information.
